Trish's Bio
Trish Stratus was born on December 18th, 1976 in Toronto Canada. She was raised in a close family and by her teen years was very active in school sports. Her main sports interests were hockey and soccer. Her dream was to become a doctor. While she attended college she ran into an odd road block. She was studying biology preparing for med school but her teachers at the university went on strike. She was not allowed to take her exams due to the strike and found a job as a receptionist at a local gym. This put her on the road to fitness modeling.
While working at the gym Trish came upon pictures of Marla Duncan, a very popular fitness model. Trish wanted to sculpt herself to look like this woman and began training in the gym. She then met a man named Scott Able, that helped her with her training to an even further level.
Eventually Trish was discovered by the fitness magazine Muscle Mag International. One of it's workers named Robert Kennedy decided to give Trish a test photo shoot and put Trish on a strict diet and exercise program. Six months later Trish got her shoot and was featured in the magazine. After that shoot Trish became a top model. Appearing on numerous magazine covers, making calenders etc. Trish soon became a little closer to her future job in the world of pro wrestling as well.
Trish was featured on the Canadian sports network TSN several times. She was occasionally booked on the same show that a wrestler would be on. She talked to them about their fitness regiments and the business in general. She also occasionally made appearences on a wrestling radio show thus propelling her more into the business. Come late 1999 the WWF was looking to build it's women's division. They immediatly looked to Trish and signed her.
Trish made her first WWF appearance in early 2000. She was an ominous on looker during Test and Alberts matches and it would soon be revealed that she was indeed their manager. They'd name the team T&A and it would last for quite some time. Come April 2000 Trish took her first major bump in the ring. The Dudley Boyz had been putting women through tables all year and at the Backlash pay per view Trish would be no exception. After the feud with the Dudley's ended T&A would feud with the Hardy Boyz and Lita.
Trish would end up interfering in The Hardy's matches and that angered Lita. Trish had practically no in ring ability so her giant body guards (T&A) would end up beating up Lita. Then Trish would get her shots in after Lita had been incapacitated. Also during this time Val Venis was added to the T&A team. Trish would take up managing him as well. Trish had her first big match at Fully Loaded 2000. It was a six person tag with Trish and T&A vs The Hardyz and Lita. Trish wasn't exactly great in the ring at this point in time and quite frankly the match was less than memorable. Throughout the rest of 2000 Trish would continue to manage her stable. That is until her true big break came.
Vince Mcmahon decided to play off an angle where he was going to divorce his wife Linda. According to him he had found someone else. That someone would be revealed to be Trish. Linda would be "placed in a sanitarium" and Trish and Vince would occasinally visit her. At that point Vince and Trish were just "friends." But it would be later revealed that the two were indeed in a "relationship" and that angered Mcmahon's daughter Stephanie.
Stephanie wanted to be the "dominant female" in the Mcmahon family and wanted Trish out of the picture. The two would square off at WWF's No Way Out 2001. The match wasn't the best but for the first time Trish (and Stephanie) showed actual in ring ability. The two went a great length and Stephanie wound up the victor. After the match Trish was not allowed to see Vince anymore. Trish would try to get herself back into Mcmahon's good graces but Vince wouldn't allow it. Until one night on Raw Vince decided to give her a chance. She was forced to disrobe to her bra and panties in front of the crowd and humilate herself for Vince's amusement. Vince eventually took her back but an upcoming event that would change the world of pro wrestling as we knew it was about to happen.
Vince Mcmahon decided to purchase WCW. While he still worked the angle with Trish it wasn't able to last much longer. So they decided to do a blow off at Wrestlemania 17. Vince would ask Trish to help him during his match with his son Shane but Trish would instead slap him across the face signalling the end of the angle. A few months later WWF found itself being "invaded" by the remnants of WCW and ECW. Trish would team with her former enemy Lita at the Invasion pay per view to face WCW diva's Torrie Wilson and Stacy Kiebler in a bra and panties match. Trish and Lita were victorious and soon after the Invasion angle was killed off. Trish feuded with Torrie and Stacy as well as some of the other WWF diva's for the rest of 2001.
This year has been the year for Trish. No more is she just a valet. She is now a full time wrestler with the other WWE women. She's greatly improved her in ring skill since her first matches and is the top female star in the WWE. Trish has had many matches with Molly Holly this year that have shown just how far she's come. She's currently in a feud with WWE new comer Victoria in which she's showcased some amazing kicks and other wrestling moves. Whether it be gimmick T&A matches or wrestling matches Trish is coming into her own. She is one of the most talented female wrestlers in the US at the moment and as long as she continues her training she will continue to be.
